OpenSAFELY Research Platform

NHS England has asked all GP practices to provide pseudonymised health information to the OpenSAFELY research platform.

OpenSAFELY is a secure NHS platform which allows approved researchers to safely analyse GP records to support important public health studies, such as monitoring and improving NHS care.

Your personal details (such as your name or address) are not shared.  Instead, information is pseudonymised so researchers cannot identify you.  Strict legal and security safeguards are in place to protect your data. This data is shared under the Health and Social Care Act, following a Data Provision Notice (DPN) issued by NHS England.  GP practices are legally required to provide this information.  If you would like to know more, please see visit www.opensafely.org
